Zappi’s charging modes are what make it stand out. Here’s a simple breakdown of what each mode does and when to use it.
FAST mode
Charges at maximum available power (like a standard smart charger). Best when you need the car charged quickly, regardless of solar generation.
ECO mode
Blends solar and grid to maintain charging while still prioritising solar where possible. Good for steady charging without frequent pauses.
ECO+ mode
Aims to charge using surplus solar only. Charging may pause and resume depending on cloud cover and household usage. Ideal when you want to maximise solar self-consumption.
Which mode should you use?
Need it charged by morning: FAST
Want a balance of speed + solar: ECO
Want ‘as much solar as possible’: ECO+
If you’re unsure, we can set up the charger and walk you through the best mode for your household and tariff.
